NDLEA Chairman Visits Lekki Port to Boost Security

Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), visited Lekki Port for a familiarization tour aimed at strengthening collaboration in securing Nigeria's maritime gateway and combating illicit drug trafficking. During his visit, Marwa toured the port facilities and engaged in strategic discussions with the management of Lekki Port, emphasizing their shared commitment to enhancing port security and facilitating legitimate trade.

Marwa commended Lekki Port for its significant contributions to Nigeria's economy and highlighted the need for stronger partnerships and intelligence sharing to protect the nation's ports. Wang Qiang, the Managing Director of Lekki Port, acknowledged the NDLEA's proactive role in safeguarding Nigeria's borders against drug trafficking while ensuring the smooth movement of legitimate cargo.

He reiterated the port's commitment to maintaining high security standards and operational excellence in collaboration with the NDLEA and other government agencies.
