NDC Dismisses Arabambi's Lawsuits Against Peter Obi

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected three lawsuits initiated by Labour Party chieftain Abayomi Arabambi, who is seeking access to the academic and National Youth Service Corps records of NDC's presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Arabambi filed these suits against the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) regarding Obi's academic credentials.

In an interview, NDC's National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, asserted that Obi possesses a verifiable academic record and questioned Arabambi's motives, noting that Arabambi had previously stated he does not doubt the genuineness of Obi's certificate. Director acknowledged Arabambi's right to pursue legal action but emphasized that Obi has nothing to hide.

He also criticized the media for focusing on this controversy instead of more pressing national issues like the economy and security. As of the report's filing, no hearing date had been set for the lawsuits.
