LGAN and NILDS Partner for 2026 Africa Challenge Trophy

On June 16, 2026, the Ladi Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) and the Nigeria Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) formalized a partnership through a memorandum of understanding in Abuja. This collaboration aims to advance sports diplomacy across the continent and develop a golf network in preparation for the 2026 Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT).

Prof. Abubakar O. Suliaman, the Director General of NILDS, reaffirmed the institute's commitment to this partnership, highlighting its potential benefits for Nigeria's sports sector and its alignment with broader economic growth initiatives.

The AACT is anticipated to attract delegations from 30 African countries, providing a platform to strengthen pan-African relations. The championship will feature an innovative sports business investment pavilion, themed around African trade, designed to connect sports enterprises with investment opportunities across the continent, thereby enhancing Nigeria's reputation on the international investment stage.
