LGAN Celebrates 2026 Women’s Golf Day with Tournament

The Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) marked the 2026 Women’s Golf Day with a vibrant 9-hole shotgun tournament at Iba Golf Course in Abuja, which began at 8:00 AM. Participants arrived in fairway dress, showcasing red and white attire that transformed the course into a colorful display celebrating women in golf.

Dr. Lami Ahmad, the president of LGAN, extended congratulations to all members, describing the occasion as more than just a sporting event but a special occasion for sisterhood and goodwill.

She emphasized the importance of mentorship and mutual support in golf, encouraging members to view the sport as a platform for empowerment. Dr.

Ahmad urged members to uphold the values of the association and maintain its esteemed reputation. Diana Osmond, the competition secretary, played a key role in coordinating the event, which also included male golfers as special guests to enhance the festive atmosphere.
