Lightning Strikes in Bauchi, Killing Two Women

On Monday at approximately 5:29 PM, lightning struck a room in Gambiri village, Bauchi, resulting in the deaths of two women: Hauwa Juli, who had given birth to her daughter Fatima just seven days prior, and her pregnant sister, Habiba. Abubakar Hussain, a resident, reported that the victims were buried at 11 AM on Tuesday.

Remarkably, the newborn baby of Hauwa Juli survived the incident, which has left the community in deep shock and mourning, disrupting local economic and social activities. The Bauchi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, confirmed the incident, stating that a thunderstorm had indeed caused the deaths of three individuals in the village.
