Liverpool Signs Defender Jeremy Jacquet for £60 Million

Liverpool has finalized the transfer of French defender Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for a reported fee of £60 million. The 20-year-old center-back has signed a five-year contract with the option for a further 12 months, subject to international clearance.

Jacquet, who suffered a shoulder injury in February, expressed his excitement about joining Liverpool, stating it has been his big dream. He made 33 senior appearances for Rennes and has spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Clermont.

Jacquet is expected to be available for the start of pre-season training, although he missed the end of the previous campaign due to his injury.
