SGF Demands Justice for Murdered MACBAN Chairman

Georg Akum, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, expressed profound shock and outrage over the gruesome killing of Alhaji Ardo Risku, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, in Benue State. In a statement issued by his special adviser on media and public affairs, Yomi Odunuga, Akum described the act as dastardly and unacceptable, emphasizing that it is a direct assault on peace and mutual trust within the community.

He noted the incident occurred at a time when the state was experiencing improvements in security and a gradual restoration of peace among its diverse ethnic and religious communities. Akum called on the Nigeria Police Force and relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the murder, insisting that no stone should be left unturned in identifying, arresting, and prosecuting everyone connected to this heinous crime.

He extended condolences to the family of the deceased and urged the community to reject any attempts by criminal elements to sow discord.
