Customs CG Adeniyi Supports Nigeria's Beach Volleyball Stars

On Monday in Abuja, Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), assured maximum support for Nigerian beach volleyball players Pamela Bawa and Esther Mbah as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. Bawa and Mbah secured Nigeria's first Olympic ticket by winning a gold medal at the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Nations Championship held in Alexandria, Egypt.

Adeniyi commended their achievement, emphasizing that it showcased the potential of motivation, discipline, and investment in sports. He encouraged the players to maintain their determination and focus on overcoming the dominance of North African, Arab, and East African teams in future competitions.

Adeniyi also mentioned the establishment of the VIPERS team, aimed at developing talented volleyball players, which has successfully progressed to the Premiership. He promised comprehensive support for the players' Olympic preparations, urging them to carry their competitive spirit to the Olympics.
