Diri Administration Celebrates 6th Anniversary in Bayelsa

On February 14, the Douye Diri administration in Bayelsa State commemorated its 6th anniversary with a subdued thanksgiving service at the Ecumenical Centre in Igbogen. Governor Douye Diri expressed gratitude for the support from Bayelsans and paid tribute to the late Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who began his journey in 2020.

During the service, Diri read from Psalm 23 and urged the people to embrace unity, tolerance, and collective development. He highlighted the state's abundant resources and the need for collaboration to overcome challenges.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, delivered goodwill messages, referring to Diri's emergence as a miracle. Other dignitaries, including Samuel Ogbuku from the NDDC and Mitema Obordor from the House of Representatives, commended Diri's leadership and the peace and stability achieved in the state since 2020.

The event emphasized faith in God and the importance of divine intervention in governance.
