Lagos State Golf Association Hosts Leadership Cup Event

The Lagos State Golf Association (LSGA) hosted the Leadership Cup at the Ikoyi Club 1938, with fewer than 180 golfers participating in this significant event that combined golf, leadership, networking, and social impact. A key feature was the Leadership Golf Clinic, which introduced 20 prominent leaders, including permanent secretaries from the Lagos State Government and senior executives from the financial services and capital market sectors, to the game of golf.

The official opening ceremony included a ceremonial leadership tee-off performed by Princess Damilola Sunayon, representing Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. Maureen Tamuno, Group Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited, supported women's participation in golf by presenting a special prize to the best golfer in the Queens of the Greens category.

The event aimed to encourage more women aged 18 and above, as well as children and young people, to engage in golf, promoting it as a platform for leadership development and networking. The LSGA is chaired by Deji Johnson, with Kemi Olowoyo-Otegbade serving as vice-chairman.
