LSSTF Hands Over Rowe Park for Six-Week Completion

The Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF) officially handed over the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Indoor Sports Hall and the Squad Courts Hall at Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba, Lagos, to Intemol Consult Limited for its final phase of completion. The contractor has committed to completing the project within six weeks, with a deadline set before the National Intermediate Games scheduled from October 1 to 15.

LSSTF Chairman Wahid Oshodi emphasized the urgency of finishing the indoor hall and squash courts, which have been untouched for over a decade. He described Rowe Park as a vital facility for sports and recreation in Lagos, serving generations of athletes.

Niyi Lawal, representing Intemol Consult Limited, assured stakeholders of timely delivery, stating their commitment to working extra hours to meet the deadline. The project follows previous upgrades, including an Olympic-size swimming pool, with a focus on sustainable maintenance supported by professional sports facilities managers.
