Thabo Mabe appointed CEO of Dangote Sugar in $700m expansion move

Thabo Mabe has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, taking over from Ravindra Singhvi as the company embarks on a $700 million expansion initiative. Mabe, who previously held senior roles at Unilever and has a background in chemistry and mathematics from Fort Hare University, is set to lead the largest sugar refiner in sub-Saharan Africa.

Singhvi's tenure saw significant investment projects and revenue growth. Mabe's extensive experience in manufacturing and product sales positions him well to drive Dangote Sugar's growth strategy.
