Madonna University Denies Bullying Claims in Student's Death

Madonna University Nigeria issued a statement on Thursday denying allegations that the death of student William Fubara was linked to bullying. The Director of Communications and Public Affairs, William Fubara, described these claims as false and malicious, damaging the institution's reputation.

The university clarified that Fubara was not subjected to physical assault on campus and that he passed away at home during the Easter break, not on campus as alleged. The institution emphasized the need for restraint among the public and media to avoid spreading unverified claims that could provoke unnecessary outrage.

They also expressed condolences to Fubara's family and friends, confirming that a delegation would represent the university at his burial in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The university reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline and moral responsibility within its community and warned against the distortion of facts, particularly regarding sensitive matters involving loss of life.
