Super Falcons Announce 25-Player Squad for Cameroon Friendlies

Head coach Justin Madugu has named a 25-player squad for the Super Falcons as they prepare for two friendly matches against Cameroon. The matches are set to take place in Yaoundé, with the first on February 28, 2024, and the second on March 3, 2024.

Gift Monday, a forward based in the USA, has been recalled after a controversial departure from the team that won the 10th African title last year. Ngozi Okobi Okeoghene, a midfielder based in Canada, also makes her return to the squad after a couple of years' absence.

The roster includes several uncapped players, such as England-based goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor and Tanzania-based midfielder Preciou Christoph. The Super Falcons will also participate in the 13th Women Africa Cup of Nations, confirmed to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2024, where four semi-finalists will qualify directly for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup.
