Haske Set to Defect from APC to APM Ahead of 2027 Elections

Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, a notable governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC), is reportedly on the verge of defecting to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify. Alhaji Hussaini Ahmadu Har, a senior political associate of Haske, confirmed that the transition of Haske's political structure to the APM is well underway, with many loyalists already making the switch.

Har characterized this anticipated defection as a "political tsunami" that could alter the political dynamics in Adamawa. Sources indicate that Haske's departure may trigger a broader exodus from the APC, as well as from the African Democratic Congress and Labour Party.

Haske, who has a strong support network and community ties, claims he was unfairly sidelined in the APC's primary process. Although he is not currently in Adamawa, the momentum surrounding his expected defection continues to grow, posing a significant challenge to the APC's electoral prospects in the state.
