Wike Urges PDP NWC to Make Sacrifices for Progress

On Friday, Nyesom Wike, during a visit to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat at Wadata Plaza in Abuja, urged the newly inaugurated National Working Committee (NWC) members to make necessary sacrifices to advance the party's interests. Wike acknowledged the recent internal crises within the PDP and stressed that rebuilding the party would require commitment, discipline, and hard work.

He emphasized the importance of unity among party members and the need for the NWC to leverage the experience of seasoned party leaders to strengthen internal cohesion. Wike also highlighted the PDP's position as Nigeria's foremost opposition platform, asserting that it cannot become the main opposition party without winning elections.

He called for efforts to reconcile and bring back members who defected during the crises. Wike expressed confidence in the new leadership and urged them to focus on collective work for the party's future, assuring that they would not disappoint the hopes of Nigerians.
