Wike Calls on PDP to Reconcile with Defected Members

On Friday, during a visit to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat at Wadata Plaza in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, called on the PDP to enhance its efforts in reconciling and bringing back estranged members who have defected. Wike stressed the necessity for party activists to engage with defectors and urged the leadership to deploy strategies that would encourage their return.

He noted that many former members left the PDP due to uncertainties regarding their political future and required reassurances about their place and opportunities within the party. Wike expressed optimism about the PDP's prospects, describing it as a formidable political platform capable of attracting widespread support from Nigerians ahead of future elections.

He also mentioned that the national chairman of the party, Abdulrahman Moha, assured him that capable men and women would be part of the committee working to elevate the party to a higher level.
