Wike Urges PDP to Attract New Members at NEC Meeting

During the 108th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) held in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, charged the party's National Working Committee (NWC) to form a special committee aimed at attracting new members and reconciling with aggrieved ones. Wike stressed the importance of transparency and accountability, urging the NWC to demonstrate a commitment to correcting past mistakes made by previous leadership.

He expressed confidence that if the party shows openness, former members would return. Wike, a long-time member of the PDP since 1998, reassured the party of his loyalty and commitment.

The meeting included significant party stakeholders, such as former Senate President Bukola Saraki and other notable figures from various states. Abdulrahman Mohd, the National Chairman of the PDP, also assured members of a transparent primary election process, emphasizing adherence to democratic best practices.
