Makinde Appoints New Security Adviser and Board Chair

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed Abayomi Fagbenro as the new Special Adviser on Security and Arowosaye Adeyemi as the Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company. The appointments were confirmed in separate letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi, on Monday.

Abayomi Fagbenro previously worked in the Department of Defense and was part of the Army Network Enterprise Center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, from October 2007 to August 2012. He received military training in the Great Lakes region of Illinois, Chicago, and attended the East Coast Polytechnic Institute at Strayer University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.

Arowosaye Adeyemi attended the University of Abuja and earned a degree in Political Science. He has served as the Caretaker Committee Chairman and Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area.

Governor Makinde congratulated both appointees and urged them to regard their appointments as a call to service, effective immediately.
