Seyi Makinde Wins APM Presidential Ticket in Ibadan

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, has clinched the presidential ticket of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) during the party's primary held in Ibadan. In his acceptance speech, Makinde expressed a deep sense of humility and responsibility in accepting the nomination to serve as the presidential candidate.

He highlighted the need to restore hope and rebuild confidence in the country, promising reforms particularly in the oil and gas sector, which he believes will benefit Nigeria's natural resources. Makinde identified agriculture as a key area for economic growth and stressed the importance of improving production processes and storage logistics.

His campaign is focused on practical solutions rather than empty promises. The event also saw endorsements from notable figures, including Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who described Makinde as a capable leader to move Nigeria forward.

Yusuf Dantal, the national chairman of APM, characterized the primary as peaceful and transparent.
