Oyo Governor Makinde Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks Commissioner

On Wednesday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, which included the dismissal of Toyin Balogun from her position as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion. She has been replaced by Faosat Sanni, effective immediately, as stated in a release by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.

Faosat Sanni previously served in the same ministry from 2019 to 2023 and has now been redeployed to the Ministry of Special Duties. The reshuffle also involved the appointment of Olabod Ladipo as the Permanent Secretary of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Ifeoluwa Akand as the Chairman of the Samuel Ladok Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee.

Other appointments included Musibau Babatund as the new Secretary to the State Government and Temilolu Ashamu moving to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Governor Makinde expressed gratitude to Balogun for her contributions and wished her success in future endeavors.
