Makinde Swears in New Commissioner, Redeploys Adelabu

On Monday, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State swore in Dr. Debo Ladipo as a member of the State Executive Council and announced the redeployment of Professor Solihu Adelabu to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Investment.

This reshuffle aims to strengthen the government and improve service delivery in the state. The swearing-in ceremony occurred at the Executive Chamber of the Governor's Office in Ibadan.

Governor Makinde explained that the changes in portfolio are a normal feature of a government-driven administration, reflecting the need to deploy individuals in areas of expertise for the greatest impact. He urged cabinet members to intensify efforts in implementing government policies and programs to enhance the welfare of residents and accelerate the state's development.

The governor reiterated his administration's commitment to good governance and accountability, expressing confidence that the new appointments and redeployments would further enhance the performance of the State Executive Council.
