Man Arrested for Exhuming Skull for Ritual Sale in Kwara

On April 10, 2023, the Kwara State Police Command made a significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat crime, resulting in the arrest of a man exhuming a relative's skull for alleged ritual sale. The operation took place along Ajase-Ipo Road, where police intercepted an unregistered Toyota Previa vehicle entering from Kogi State.

A search revealed 98 rounds of live ammunition concealed in a bag of garri. Police Commissioner Ojo Adekimi stated that this operation reflects the collaborative efforts of police and security agencies to ensure that criminal elements find no refuge in Kwara State.

Additionally, two suspected cultists, Lukman Abdul Salam and Aliu Ismaila, were arrested for their involvement in a theft valued at N2.5 million. The police also apprehended Fabiyi Benson and Seyi Sodiq Rashe in Ganmo following a distress call, recovering a cut-size shotgun and live cartridges, further linking them to criminal activities.
