Man Arrested with Human Head in Ogun State Patrol

On April 17, 2026, a suspect was apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command during a routine patrol led by CSP Solotan K. Owolabi.

The suspect was found in possession of a fresh human head, two human palms, and other human remains concealed in a nylon bag. Preliminary investigations conducted by DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi revealed that the suspect allegedly exhumed the remains from a grave in Ido Itakun Village, Igbesa, for ritual purposes.

The police have documented the recovery and transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. Babaseyi assured the public of the command's unwavering commitment to eliminating criminal elements in the state and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
