Man Arrested for Abducting and Raping Woman in Rivers

Otamiri Princ has been arrested for the alleged abduction and rape of Thoma Alic, a 24-year-old woman from Eliozu, Port Harcourt, who he met online. The crime reportedly took place on January 3, 2026, when Princ lured Alic to Igwuruta, where he and his accomplices kidnapped her and took her to a bush in the Etche Local Government Area.

During the ordeal, she was assaulted, raped, and had her valuables taken before being released. The Rivers State Police Command, led by Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, initiated an investigation following a report made on April 11, 2026.

The police utilized technology-driven strategies to apprehend Princ, who confessed to the crime, and recovered items including an iPhone belonging to the victim. Efforts are ongoing to capture other fleeing gang members.

The police have advised women and young ladies to exercise caution when interacting with individuals met online.
