Man Kills Two Security Guards at Lagos Cinema Altercation

On Friday evening, a violent incident occurred at Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX in Lekki, Lagos State, resulting in the deaths of two security personnel. The Lagos State Police Command is investigating the altercation involving a yet-to-be-identified man believed to be under the influence of drugs.

Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect attempted to enter the cinema and was resisted by security personnel, leading to a confrontation. One eyewitness, Buchi Laba, described the chaos outside the cinema, where the suspect allegedly stabbed one security guard in the chest and another in the back.

Following the attack, the suspect was reportedly mobbed and died as well. Police Public Relations Officer Adebisi Abimbola confirmed the deaths and noted that the Chief Security Officer of the cinema is in custody as part of the investigation.

Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage to identify any additional individuals involved in the incident.
