Soludo and Zobis Cable Industries Plan Industrial City

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, met with John Ezeobi, Chairman of Zobis Cable Industries, to discuss the establishment of the Zobis Industrial City.

This multi-sector industrial and commercial development project is intended to enhance manufacturing activities in Anambra State. The project will be located across Okoti and Odekpe in the Ogbaru Local Government Area and is expected to include over 15 major industrial and commercial facilities, such as cable manufacturing plants, copper production facilities, switchgear and PVC factories, a research and development institute, residential quarters, and integrated logistics infrastructure.

Ezeobi stated that the initiative aims to strengthen Nigeria's manufacturing base, reduce import dependence, and create employment opportunities for young Nigerians. The project will cover approximately 94 hectares of land with a built-up area exceeding 800,000 square meters and is projected to create over 15,000 direct jobs during its first phase, supporting the state government's economic development agenda.
