Zobi Cable Industries Unveils Industrial City Plan in Anambra

John Ezeobi, the Chairman of Zobi Cable Industries, visited Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to present a plan for establishing the Zobi Industrial City.

This proposed project, located across Okoti Odekp in Ogbaru Local Government Area, aims to boost manufacturing activities in the state. The industrial city is designed to house 15 major industrial and commercial facilities, including a cable manufacturing plant, copper production facility, switchgear, PVC factory, and a research and development institute, along with residential quarters and integrated logistics infrastructure.

The project covers 94 hectares with a built area exceeding 800,000 square meters and is expected to create 15,000 direct jobs during its first phase, scheduled for construction from May 2025 to December 2028. Ezeobi emphasized that the industrial city supports Nigeria's drive for local production, reducing import dependence, creating employment opportunities for young Nigerians, and strengthening the country's manufacturing base, positioning Anambra as a major industrial hub in West Africa.
