Kano Governor Urges Newlyweds to Uphold Justice and Respect

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf addressed 1,500 couples who participated in a mass wedding program organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board. In his speech, he urged the newlyweds to build their homes on principles of patience, justice, mutual respect, and understanding.

Yusuf emphasized that marriage is an act of worship and should align with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad. He encouraged the couples to respect one another and maintain fairness in their homes, highlighting the importance of peaceful coexistence for strong family foundations.

The governor also advised the newlyweds to implement the lessons learned during pre-marital counseling to navigate family responsibilities effectively. He concluded by praying for Allah’s blessings on their marriages and for them to be blessed with righteous children.

The mass wedding took place on Friday as part of the government’s social intervention efforts to support vulnerable residents and alleviate the financial burdens associated with marriage.
