Matawalle Launches 'Operation No Mercy' Against Bandits

On a recent visit to victims of terrorist attacks in Bungudu and other communities in Zamfara, Governor Matawalle instructed military forces to commence 'Operation No Mercy' against bandits. This directive came after reports of policemen being killed and a Local Government Chairman being abducted.

In a statement from his Personal Assistant on Media, Ahmed Dan Wudil, Matawalle reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to restoring peace and security in the region. He ordered the leadership of Operation Fansan Yamma to intensify military campaigns and called for collaboration with other security agencies.

Matawalle urged military formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kaduna to enhance operations and gather intelligence from community leaders to combat terrorism effectively. He commended the Armed Forces for their recent successes in neutralizing terrorists in various locations, including Gummi and Katsina State, and called for sustained efforts until terrorism is eradicated in the North-West.
