Mbah Approves Rehabilitation of Oji River Water Scheme

On Wednesday, Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State approved the rehabilitation of the Oji River water scheme as part of efforts to restore water supply to Oji town and its surrounding communities.

The initiative was discussed during a visit by Engr. Dr.

Mike Nwachukwu, Managing Director of the Enugu State Water Corporation, and Engr. Hilari Abaratu from TLD Global Services, who inspected the existing facilities at the Oji water station.

Governor Mbah emphasized the importance of the project in augmenting water supply in Enugu metropolis, noting that the current system requires significant repairs due to vandalism and inefficiencies. Engr.

Abaratu assured that the company would ensure quality job delivery. Hon.

Greg Anyaegbudik, Chairman of Oji River Local Government, expressed commitment to support the project, highlighting that improved water supply will enhance health, business, and overall living conditions for residents. The governor's vision aims to alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for the people of Oji River.
