McEnies Global Communications Enhances Climate-Health Link

McEnies Global Communications is spearheading efforts to integrate climate and health sectors in Nigeria, led by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan.

The initiative, part of the Wiser Health Project, involves collaboration with the UK Met Office, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), the UK Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), and the Rockefeller Foundation. The project aims to leverage meteorological data to inform health sector decision-making and enhance resilience against climate-related health challenges.

Key activities include conducting community surveys and cross-sector workshops to ensure early warning services are tailored to local realities. The partnership seeks to develop community strategies to mitigate flood risks in Nigeria, applying lessons learned from the project to strengthen the country's climate-resilient health systems.

The initiative emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making in addressing vulnerabilities within communities.
