MDCN Accredits Kwara State University Teaching Hospital

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has officially accredited the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH) as a training institution for its preclinical medical program. This announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by Yakub Kamaldeen Aliagan, the head of corporate affairs at KWASUTH, following a successful accreditation exercise conducted by the MDCN.

Aminat El Imam, the Kwara State Commissioner for Health, highlighted this development as a significant milestone in advancing healthcare education in the state. During a briefing at the MBA Study Centre of Kwara State University in Ilorin, El Imam commended the MDCN team for their professionalism throughout the accreditation process.

She assured that the council would identify areas for improvement to be addressed in the next accreditation visit. Vice Chancellor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh expressed satisfaction with the accreditation outcome and emphasized the collaborative efforts that led to this success.

The MDCN team leader, Nnaemeka Nwakama, acknowledged the Kwara State government's investment in healthcare projects, which will enhance access to quality healthcare services.
