MDCN Approves Kwara State University Teaching Hospital

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has officially approved the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH) for medical training, a development announced in a statement by Yakub Aliagan, the head of corporate affairs at KWASUTH, on Wednesday. This accreditation follows a successful assessment conducted by a team led by Nnaemeka Nwakama, the deputy registrar of MDCN.

Aminat El Imam, the Kwara State Commissioner for Health, highlighted this achievement as a significant milestone in advancing healthcare and medical education in the state. During a session held at the MBA Study Centre, El Imam reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to strengthen the health sector through sustained investments in infrastructure and manpower.

Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, expressed satisfaction with the accreditation process, emphasizing the collaborative efforts involved. The MDCN team acknowledged the state government's investments in healthcare, particularly in upgrading facilities, which will enhance access to quality healthcare services.
