Mercy Iliya was honored as the Best Athlete of the Year by Prudential Sports in Gomb State, Nigeria. The award ceremony also recognized athletes like Abdulrahman Mahmoud Baba and Atiku Baitu, as well as sports clubs such as Gomb Bull Basketball Club and Yarmalight FC.
