Messi to Join Argentina Camp Ahead of Farewell Match
Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni announced that Lionel Messi is expected to join the national team camp on Sunday after their international friendly match against Burkina Faso on Saturday. Scaloni indicated that it would not be a problem if Messi chose to play in the game against Burkina Faso.
Messi, who has announced his retirement from the Argentina national team, is scheduled to participate in a farewell match against Benin on Tuesday at the Estadio Mâs Monumental in Buenos Aires. This friendly match will mark the end of Messi's international career with La Albiceleste, where he has achieved significant accolades, including winning the Ballon d'Or eight times.
