MISS 9JA Launches Toll-Free Line for Rural Women

The organizers of MISS 9JA announced the introduction of a toll-free telephone service to facilitate participation for young Nigerian women in rural communities and areas with poor internet access. Eon Irinen, the Head of Digital Strategy at MISS 9JA, stated that this initiative aims to eliminate digital barriers, ensuring that every eligible contestant can access the competition regardless of financial or geographical constraints.

Applicants without internet access can request a call-back, allowing the pageant’s customer care team to complete the registration process over the phone at no cost. Irinen emphasized that the initiative aligns with the organization’s commitment to accessibility, noting that applicants do not need smartphones or internet connectivity.

The Founder and Director of Partnerships at MISS 9JA, Adenike Isi Adeeko, reiterated the organization's goal of removing financial barriers from the competition. Entry into the competition remains free, and public voting will also be free of charge.

Applications for the maiden edition will close on October 10, 2026, with public voting starting on October 15 and ending on January 31.
