Miva Open University Partners with Terra Industries for Robotics

On July 29, 2026, Miva Open University hosted Nathan Nwachuku, CEO of Terra Industries, at its Abuja campus to celebrate their partnership aimed at strengthening robotics education. This visit acknowledged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations, which focuses on collaboration in robotics, drone technology, virtual reality, and applied engineering education.

The partnership will establish integrated robotics and drone laboratories at Miva’s Abuja campus, providing students with practical training in various technological fields. Nathan Nwachuku emphasized the importance of building an academia-industrial pipeline to support Africa's drone industry, particularly in light of Nigeria's recent motion for a National Drone Industrial Policy.

The collaboration will also facilitate student research, innovation challenges, and internships, ensuring that Miva students are equipped with the skills needed in the technology and engineering sectors. Miva Open University reaffirmed its commitment to preparing students for future work environments through industry-relevant education.
