Momodu Defends Atiku Against Age Criticism for 2027 Race

Dele Momodu has come to the defense of Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, who is facing criticism regarding his age as he prepares for the 2027 presidential race. Momodu rejected calls from activist Zekeri Idri Jnr, who urged Abubakar to step aside and support younger candidates like Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

In response to Idri's viral video, which suggested that Abubakar should take on an elder statesman role, Momodu criticized the campaign against Abubakar as misdirected. He emphasized that many global leaders, including Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Nelson Mandela, have effectively advanced their nations while serving at older ages.

Momodu also pointed out that Abubakar ran on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, which he lost to Bola Tinubu, and he is now preparing for the upcoming 2027 elections.
