Ogun Model School Project: A Monument to Waste and Neglect

The Ogun Model School project initiated by former Governor Ibikunle Amosun in 2012 aimed to revolutionize education in Ogun State but has now become a symbol of neglect and mismanagement. The project, with an initial cost of 750 million naira, eventually ballooned to 1.3 billion naira.

However, many of the model schools are incomplete, abandoned, and not serving their intended purpose. Locations like Ago Iwoye showcase the decay and neglect of these once-promising educational facilities, highlighting the failure of governance and the mismanagement of public funds.
