Obasa, Buhari's son win APC tickets for 2027 elections

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, have secured tickets from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 House of Representatives elections. The APC held its House of Representatives primaries on Saturday across 360 federal constituencies nationwide.

During these primaries, the party disqualified 14 aspirants in states including Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers. In Rivers State, Speaker Martin Amaewhul led the results of the primaries, while the APC disqualified four aspirants loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, which included three serving members of the House of Representatives.

The primaries were conducted on Saturday, and the outcomes are significant as they set the stage for the upcoming elections.
