Senegal Appeals CAF's Decision on AFCON Championship Title

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has awarded Morocco the title of AFCON champions for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after Senegal forfeited a match due to a walk-off during the game held on January 19. The CAF's appeal board ruled in favor of Morocco, citing violations of Articles 82 and 84 of the competition regulations, resulting in a 3-0 victory for Morocco.

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has rejected this decision, describing it as unfair and damaging to the credibility of African football. They have confirmed their intention to file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, to defend their rights and interests.
