MTN's Y’ello Street Experience Celebrates Mobile Evolution

The Y’ello Street Experience, organized by MTN, took place from August 10 to 17 at MTN Plaza on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi. This week-long event celebrates the evolution of mobile communication, transitioning from basic voice calls and SMS to modern smartphones and digital services.

Visitors are reminded of the early mobile era, with one individual recalling their first phone. The exhibition includes nostalgic features such as bunk beds, evoking memories of free midnight calls when many Nigerians would stay awake to connect with friends and family.

The event emphasizes the significant impact of connectivity on communication, work, business, and daily life. The Y’ello Street Experience is accessible to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until its conclusion on August 17.
