MTN Nigeria Celebrates 25 Years with Y’ello Museum Closure

MTN Nigeria marked its 25th anniversary by closing the Y’ello Street Museum in Lagos, which was part of the celebrations reflecting on the company's journey and the evolution of telecommunications in Nigeria. The museum provided an immersive experience through a collection of memorable objects, cultural references, and interactive displays that captured key moments from MTN Nigeria’s history.

It aimed to connect visitors with the transformation in mobile communication and its impact on daily life in Nigeria since the company began operations in 2001. The exhibition illustrated the shift from early mobile phones to today’s digital ecosystem, emphasizing how mobile connectivity has enabled communication, supported businesses, and opened opportunities for millions.

The closure of the museum signifies the end of a physical exhibition but not the journey it represents, as MTN Nigeria noted that the memories created will remain part of its Silver Jubilee story amidst Nigeria's ongoing economic challenges.
