MultiChoice Launches DStv Streaming Swap Program

MultiChoice has introduced a swap program aimed at encouraging DStv customers who no longer use satellite dishes to switch to its streaming-only service. This initiative allows subscribers to access DStv content without the need for a decoder or satellite dish, which could lead to significant savings on monthly subscription costs for households with reliable internet access.

Customers can save up to 38% compared to selected satellite packages. For instance, DStv Premium satellite subscribers currently paying R799 (approximately ₦67,350) could save 18% by switching to DStv Stream Premium at the same price, while a 12-month streaming contract at R699 (about ₦58,950) offers a 29% saving.

Other packages, such as Compact Plus and Compact, also present various savings opportunities, with the most substantial savings of up to 38% available for Compact customers. The program reflects the growing competition from streaming platforms and changing viewing habits.
