Mushin Explosion Caused by Mechanical Failure, Police Say

The Lagos Police Command announced that the explosion that occurred in Mushin was the result of a mechanical failure rather than a bomb attack. Investigations revealed that the explosion was caused by a failure of a pressure component located outside a vehicle, which triggered a sudden release of energy that shattered the front passenger side glass panel of the vehicle.

The incident resulted in minor injuries to the vehicle's occupants. The police confirmed that forensic technical findings showed no traces of explosive materials, detonating systems, or characteristics typically associated with explosive attacks.

The command emphasized that the investigation ruled out any terrorist activity or sabotage, classifying the incident as a catastrophic mechanical failure.
