My Ballon d’Or Nomination, Victory For Africa – Madugu

Madugu Justine, head coach of the Super Falcons, expressed his gratitude for being nominated for the 2025 Ballon d'Or Women's Team Coach of the Year award. He is one of five coaches nominated for this prestigious accolade, alongside Sarina Wiegman, Emma Hayes, Bev Priestman, and Sonia Bompastor.

This nomination is seen as a victory for Africa, as Madugu is the first African coach to receive such recognition. Under his leadership, the Super Falcons secured their historic 10th title at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Madugu described the nomination as a great honor for himself and his country, emphasizing the significance of being the first African coach to be nominated in this category.
