Kpakor Mourns Former Green Eagles Captain Henry Nwosu

Kpakor expressed deep sorrow over the death of Henry Nwosu, a former captain of the Green Eagles, who passed away on Saturday morning in a Lagos hospital at the age of 61. Kpakor, a member of the 1990 AFCON silver-winning squad, reminisced about their first encounter on the field in 1991 when they played against the Benin Republic.

He highlighted Nwosu's remarkable skills, noting that he was a standout player during the 1980 AFCON, where Nigeria emerged as champions. Kpakor recalled their time together in the Green Eagles camp in 1982, where he recognized Nwosu's exceptional football qualities.

He mentioned that Nwosu was a gifted player who worked hard and achieved significant milestones in his career. Kpakor also reflected on their collaboration during the Senegal '92 qualifying match against the Benin Republic, where they played alongside other midfielders for 90 minutes, showcasing their combined talent on the field.
