Deputy Governor Sam Ode Clarifies First Lady Misunderstanding

Barr. Sam Ode, the Deputy Governor of Benue State, publicly clarified that his wife, Mr.

Christi Ada Sam Ode, does not hold the title of First Lady of the state. This statement was issued through the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr.

Ior Ikyerev, in response to various misleading narratives circulating on social media that suggested Mr. Sam Ode was attempting to claim the role of First Lady.

He emphasized that the position of First Lady is traditionally occupied by the wife of the governor and that there is no intention to assume this role. Furthermore, Mr.

Sam Ode reaffirmed his commitment to supporting his husband in carrying out responsibilities aligned with the administration's developmental objectives. He dismissed any suggestions of internal disagreements within the government and stressed the importance of maintaining a cordial working relationship with Governor Hyacinth Alia and other stakeholders.

The statement urged the public to disregard misleading narratives that could create distractions and misunderstandings.
