NABTEB Reports 75.29% Pass Rate in Technical Exam

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) reported a 75.29% pass rate for the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), with 10,426 out of 13,848 candidates achieving scores of 50% and above. The results were announced by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, in Benin City, Edo State.

The examination took place nationwide from June 13 to June 15, 2023, with a total of 290 candidates registered. This represented a sharp decline from the previous year, where 29,260 candidates were recorded, indicating a drop of 13,970 candidates or 47.74%.

In Edo State, 1,442 candidates were absent, and 5,708 candidates (41.22%) scored 70% and above. Additionally, 3,422 candidates (24.71%) scored below the 50% benchmark, while 31 candidates emerged as top performers with scores of 96% and above.

The examination was conducted across 34 federal technical colleges and 168 state technical colleges throughout the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
